As a public university, William & Mary works hard to keep the cost of our exceptional education affordable, and we commit our resources to need-based aid.
365体育首页If you have what it takes to be a William & Mary student, the Financial Aid Office will use all available aid sources to help meet as much of your need as possible. Through a combination of financial aid options - including grants, loans, and Federal Work-Study - we will make every effort to keep your loan debt as low as possible.
We typically meet 100% of demonstrated financial need for in-state students, and through the William & Mary Promise, implemented in 2013, we reduced loans and increased grants for entering Virginians. Qualifying out-of-state students may receive up to 25% of their full cost of attendance in grant aid.
All returning students need to complete the every year. Our federal school code is 003705. Freshman and transfer applicants must complete the FAFSA to be eligible for federal financial aid. Freshman and transfer applicants also must complete the (school code 5115365体育首页) to receive any additional need-based financial aid.
Please note that consideration for merit scholarships does not require the submission of either the FAFSA or CSS Profile.
The FAFSA for 2020 - 21 will be available for students to file on October 1, 2019. However be aware, that you are not required to file this early, as our aid deadlines are quite a bit later than this first availability date. Please refer to our announcement on priority filing dates for further information.
If you intend to use financial aid to pay for summer school, you must complete the Summer Financial Aid Application (pdf) no later than 3 weeks before the start of your program. Summer 2020 eligibility will be based on your 2019 - 2020 FAFSA. Please refer to our Summer Aid Announcement for more details.
